Kimchi dumplings 🥟 💕these are seriously good 🤤, I suggest you take your time and make lots then freeze them I made my own pastry but you can buy the gyoza or wonton wrappers at any Asian store.
- 150 g kimchi
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 a beaten egg
- 20 gyoza wrappers or wonton wrappers
- 4 tbsp coconut oil
- 125 ml water
For Dipping Sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp kimchi juice
- finely chopped chives
Place pork, kimchi, soy sauce and egg in a bowl mix till evenly combined. Place a tsp of mixture in the centre of the each wrapper, dampen the edges with cold water and carefully seal edges.
Pre heat oven. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan high heat add half the dumplings and fry for about 1 min until the bottoms are golden, add water to the pan cover and simmer for 5 min remove lid and cook a further 1-2 min transfer to oven proof dish and repeat with other half of the dumplings.
For Dipping Sauce: mix 2 tbsp dark soy sauce 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp sesame oil, 2 tbsp kimchi juice and finely chopped chives
