Recipes Zesta Fermented Pesto

If you’re after a next-level dinner idea… these Zesta Pesto Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs are an absolute game changer. Creamy, cheesy, herby goodness in every bite!

 

✨ Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp garlic & onion powder

  • 125g cream cheese

  • ½ cup grated mozzarella

  • ¼ cup GoodBugs Zesta Pesto

  • 1kg mince (we used beef)

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ cup bread crumbs

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • GoodBugs Ginger Ninja Kimchi (for serving 🌶️)


🔥 Method:

  1. Mix the garlic & onion powder, cream cheese, mozzarella and Zesta Pesto in a bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine mince, egg, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.

  3. Flatten a small amount of mince mixture in your hand, add a dollop of the Zesta/cream cheese mix, then roll into a ball. Repeat until all mixture is used (makes about 7–8 meatballs).

  4. Cook on the BBQ (our fave!), or fry in a pan, or bake in the oven until golden and cooked through.

🌿 Serve with a generous spoonful of Ginger Ninja Kimchi for that fresh, spicy crunch.
