Looking for clarity through the fog?

Feeling lazy, unmotivated, just need to try a little bit harder?

Overwhelmed? Choose one thing you can change today.

Brain fog isn't a medical condition itself, but rather a symptom of other medical conditions.

Brain fog is real and it can be a symptom of imbalance in the body. Lots of things like stress, hormones, lack of sleep and medication can affect our mental clarity and it is a bit of chicken and egg, which to tackle first.

If things just never used to be this hard and you are looking for clarity through the brain fog, then the gut can be the easiest to refocus on. Research has shown that within two to four days of eating right, your gut microbiome can change for the better, which in turn can help cognitive function.

Choose one thing

If a complete diet overhaul seems too overwhelming, you can start by choosing control over one thing at a time. You can crowd out harmful foods in your diet by choosing to eat ones that nourish and balance the gut bacteria. If you know you always reach for snacks in the afternoon, make provisions for this, by preparing a probiotic snack like Goodbugs Zesta fermented pesto and seed crackers, or make up our Kiwichi dip with carrot sticks, homemade fermented hummus, or unsweetened yogurt and fruit, fermented dill pickles with cheese or miso and walnut paste on seed crackers. Choosing probiotic, high fat and high protein snacks will avoid a blood sugar spikes and slumps, helping you get you through to the end of the day. Your improved mental clarity may also help you make better food choices at dinner. Better yet, incorporate the above snacks into your lunch and you may avoid the after lunch slump altogether.
